A new year, a new decade and infinite possibilities! There’s nothing like a couple of weeks respite, to practise some self-care and re-charge those batteries so that you’re ready to hit the ground running. And everyone here at Bounce HQ has been doing just that. It’s only the 3rd week of January, and we’re already taking bookings for our accredited programs with our partners ACE Community Colleges and Jesuit Community College, running training with corporate businesses and working on some very exciting new content as well!

2020 is going to be HUGE!

Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams

Not only is it the start of a new year, but it’s also a new decade which means you have an opportunity to shape your future however you choose.

Why do we make resolutions for a new year? External motivators, like the start of a new year or even a birthday, can provide the opportunity for you to reflect on your past experiences and decide whether or not you’re up for a change. But sticking to your goals, now that’s a whole other challenge! In fact, on average most people have ditched their new year’s resolutions by the start of February.

But there is hope! Here are our top 5 tips to help you stay focused on achieving your goals. Give them a go today!

A Minute With Maria

A new addition to our newsletter for 2020 – Spend a minute with Maria and learn more about what interests, motivates and inspires her. Each month she’ll share with you a story, a piece of research or something purely indulgent that she is excited by.

“Three weeks at the beach gives you plenty of time to read, learn and be inspired! While researching new content for our training programs, I found this interesting piece on ‘blind-spots’. Watch this short video and make sure you don’t have any distractions around you so you can concentrate.”

“Blind spots highlight how we can get so focused on something and completely miss other things around us. As a Job Coach, you might want to consider when working with clients how often you can get so focused on a certain path for clients, that you forget what they want and miss some important information in their communication. Keep an eye out for ‘blind spots’ when you meet with your next client.”
