Every year the National Employment Services Association (NESA) host a huge networking event, and for the past 5 years we’ve gathered up our banners, posters and lollies and headed off to meet the wonderful people who make up the world of Employment Services. This year is no different! Hosted once again in Melbourne, the NESA National Conference promises to be as exciting as ever with tonnes of guest speakers, workshops and awards!
With only a few more days until the conference kicks off, Maria, Kelly and Bec are gathering everything together and making sure that our competitions (complete with HUGE PRIZES) are packed safely away. We can’t wait to set up our booth once again and have an absolute ball with everyone attending!
If you’re coming along to the NESA National Conference on the 22nd and 23rd of August, make sure you say hi to the girls and take part in some cool competitions to win massive prizes!
Do you know enough about managing aggressive behaviour?
Being thrown into a confronting and potentially dangerous situation can be a really nerve wracking experience and it’s not always clear how to handle it. Do you walk away or try to deal with the problem? How would you go about doing that while making sure you and everyone around you is safe? With years of experience in the industry, our very own Matt Luttrell is delivering these “fun & interactive” workshops to help you understand how to positively manage challenging behaviour, before it becomes a problem. If you or your team want to enhance your people management skills, contact Kelly Mason on 0419 326 694 to make a booking!
Bounce has doubled in business across the last 6 months!
The last 6 months have been absolutely incredible for Bounce in regards to growth and development. The trainer team has exploded into a massive 36 accredited trainers across Victoria and is still growing. In particular, regional Victoria has really taken off in places such as Horsham, Mildura, Albury, Echuca, Shepparton, Kerang, Seymour, Wangaratta, Wodonga, Benalla and soon Swan Hill and Warrnambool. Our Corporate Professional Development is also growing rapidly with clients such as The Department of Employment making bookings for a whole range of work. Word is spreading in the overseas market, with a new Life Skills program piloting in New Zealand next month, Trainers Training and expansion in the USA and new interest from Scotland as well. So, thank you! Your ongoing support is what makes Bounce possible and we could not have come this far without all of you!
Trainer of the Month
Our very special Trainer of the Month for August, is a woman whose life experiences and continual positivity never fail to inspire any group she spends time with. Hailing originally from a small town in Germany, Sarah Kempf chose Australia to be her home away from home and we are so glad she did! Describing herself as “hopelessly optimistic”, Sarah adores travel and learning about other cultures. By day she teaches job seekers to live the life they love, but by night she teaches herself Spanish, hangs out with her superhero rescue dog, Hercules, paints and gets into creative cooking. Sarah is the ultimate illustration of “teaching by example”, and we thinks she’s truly amazing! Well done Sarah, you’re a star!
Tip of the Month
“Be the best version of yourself when making choices. Never make decisions when you’re angry, tired or sad. Negative emotions cloud your judgement and lead you down the wrong path.”
– Maria Smith
