We live in a time where employees are no longer numbers on a clipboard, they’re needed and appreciated, and having employees that are happy, productive and excel in their work is more vital than ever before. A massive piece of this is corporate culture, and some of the largest and most successful companies have turned this into a fine art.
For example, Netflix evaluates their employees by their abilities and accomplishments rather than the number of hours worked, creating a culture of self-starters and accountability. DreamWorks holds events and parties that encourage employees to showcase their personal work and projects to boost confidence and appreciation. Companies like Adobe, Google, Facebook, and Amazon build their incredible work cultures by investing in their employee’s professional development.
You may not be able to hold large parties or have the luxury of changing the entire business model, but you can give your team the skills they need to go from good to great. Maybe upskilling your team hasn’t crossed your mind yet and that’s okay, but remember a business or company name alone is not what makes it successful, it’s the people behind the scenes that work hard every day, yourself included, that make it happen. This is where innovation begins, and success stems from. This is how you go bold and be brilliant – together!

Managing Change with NDIA
Last month Maria was honoured to be invited to speak at the National Disability Insurance Agency conference, delivering a presentation on change, resilience and managing stressful situations to around 70 people.
Held in Geelong, this national event hosted employees from all over the country in various roles within the NDIA, from the GM to admin personnel.
Maria delivered tangible, practical tools for staff to manage themselves as individuals, as well as others within a team – and she had a blast (as you can see from the pic!).
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone at NDIA for giving us the opportunity to support such an incredible team of people.

Trainer of the Month
It’s that time once again for us to tell you about another of our incredible and inspiring trainers! June’s trainer of the month is none other than the beautiful Lisa Miki!
Lisa has lived in Mildura for most of her life and worked in the security industry for over 15 years, gradually her attention moved to training and that’s where our story begins! Starting at Bounce in February 2018, Lisa is an amazing source of inspiration for her participants. Her fun and cheeky attitude gets students up and moving, giving them a proactive outlook to building their best life.
As well as being an extremely committed and engaging trainer, Lisa is the mother of two wonderful kids and is an avid Melbourne Storm supporter. Lisa lives by the rule “Conduct yourself in such a way that when someone speaks bad of you, no one believes them.” And it shows!
Thank you so much Lisa for your true dedication to not only being a Bounce trainer but also a wonderful human being! Your passion for your work is an inspiration to people every single day!
